I personally love that it’s right near to the post office and directly in front of the entrance to Josie’s, for easy access to an afternoon hike!
Many people are drawn to Elk Run because it offers relative value by Jackson standards compared to single-family homes, while still keeping you close to town, trails, and schools. Because it is a residential community outside the Lodging Overlay, short-term rentals are heavily limited and often further restricted by HOA rules, so most owners are buying for livability, convenience, and long-term use rather than rental income.
